Why are there so many ladyboys in Thailand? It's even known for that. I mean, it can't just be because the country legalises it/doesn't discriminate upon it, right? Even so, the amount of such cases there is remarkable. Is it because they're so open about their sexuality? But that can't be... It's just, in other countries you don't see as many. Maybe because they're afraid? But stilllll, it's weird. Is it because Thailand is a body-image obsessed country? Where all the boys strive to be pretty? Or somehow, many boys there grew up in a girls environment, thus they somehow got influenced and want to start turning into girls themselves?
I don't know; it's just so weird. I mean, a standard society doesn't have that many. It's not that I have any thing against them; I admire them for being able to freely express themselves like that, but the fact that Thailand is famed for having ladyboys is just... strange. Did God somehow bestow all the wrong female souls into the wrong bodies in Thailand? Uhhhh
Okay. Just wondering... No offence meant or anything. ;~;
It's not necessary because of their sexuality. From what I've learnt, most people do it for the money.
ReplyDeleteIn Thai, who makes the most money? Not the men, not the women, but the ladyboys. They can go on shows, participate in beauty contests, be a stripper blah blah blah. It's good money you know! Especially Thai is famous for having so much ladyboys... Tourists would like to see more, pay more, eventually more and more local ppl will get into the business!
And being a ladyboy is not as easy as it seems. Even if they have the money to forego the surgeries, they still have to constantly inject female hormone... Which caused them to die young, their life expectancy is only at 40!
There's always a story behind all that glamour, girl!
